Privacy Policy

GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1. This Privacy Policy describes the procedure established by the Contractor (https://naukainfo.com) for processing Users' personal data collected through the functionality of web pages located on the domain naukainfo.com and its subdomains, subdomains and/or other electronic resources of the Contractor (hereinafter – the Site) and related services. The Contractor processes users' personal data exclusively within the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection".

1.2. The User must carefully read the Privacy Policy before starting to use the Site.

1.3. The User must not use the Site and provide their Personal Data in any way during the use of the Site if they do not agree with the terms of this Policy and other terms published on the Site.

1.4. By using the Site and its tools, including registration forms for participation and other forms, the User confirms that they have given consent to the Contractor to process their Personal Data and non-personalized information under the terms of this Policy and for the purpose of the Contractor offering its services and providing them.

1.5. Personal data processed by the Contractor is considered confidential information.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AND PROCESSED BY THE CONTRACTOR

2.1. Contact details. The Contractor may request and process the User's contact details (last name, first name, patronymic (hereinafter – Full Name, or F.N.), contact phone number, email address, postal address data, and affiliation data – position, place of work and/or study) during the User's use of the Site and its tools.

2.2. Activity data. In the course of work, the Contractor may collect and process information about the participation of Users in events presented on the Site, as well as information related to the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, including ad views. The Contractor may process information obtained as a result of surveys that may be conducted by the Contractor.

2.3. Non-personalized information. To generate statistical data, maintain an activity log, and for the purpose of improving the Contractor's services, the Contractor may collect information about the operating system version, device IP address, date and time of actions on the Site, information about Site errors initiated by the User, as well as some other information that may be obtained using Cookie technologies.

2.4. Other data. When Users contact client managers providing customer support, the Contractor may, if necessary, collect other information required to fulfill the User's request and obtain feedback. The Contractor may contact the User using existing contact information. The Contractor may also collect other information about communication with the User, for example, any previous requests to client managers made by the User, or any feedback provided to the User.

INFORMATION NOT COLLECTED AND/OR PROCESSED BY THE CONTRACTOR

3.1. The Contractor does not collect or process personal data about racial or ethnic origin, political, religious, or ideological beliefs, membership in political parties and trade unions, and other similar information.

3.2. The Contractor may collect data about the User's bank cards, namely: the Full Name of the cardholder and/or the first and last four digits displayed on the front of the bank card, if this is necessary to fulfill the User's request or to provide the service to the User. The Contractor does not process or transfer the received data about the User's bank cards to third parties.

USE OF PERSONAL DATA AND OTHER INFORMATION

4.1. In the course of its activities, the Contractor may use the information it collects and processes for the following purposes:

• 4.1.1. ensuring quality service to Users, including resolving technical difficulties, forming a database of event participants, registration for which is carried out on the Site and/or by sending messages and requests to the Contractor's email, sending postal correspondence ordered by the User, providing services ordered by the User, etc.;
• 4.1.2. communicating with the User, including on service, maintenance, or permitted marketing communications through any available communication channels;
• 4.1.3. email and sms mailings, including: notifications about the shipment of postal correspondence ordered by the User or the provision of services ordered by the User, Site news, promotions or special offers, announcements of upcoming events, conferences and/or other events organized by the Contractor, or other persons;
• 4.1.4. monitoring general and individual user activity to manage traffic on the Site;
• 4.1.5. conducting research and analytical activities to improve service;
• 4.1.6. ensuring compliance with the Public Offer Agreement;
• 4.1.7. analyzing and predicting the User's personal preferences and interests;
• 4.1.8. publishing the User's personal information on the Site and/or in printed or electronic copies of collections, books, magazines, and other products created by the Contractor.

4.2. The Contractor may store the information it collects and receives on the Site to fulfill the above purposes.

EXCHANGE AND TRANSFER OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

5.1. The Contractor may use third parties as processors of Users' Personal Data (for example, postal services, email or sms mailing services, organizers and co-organizers of events, registration for which is carried out on the Site, etc.) for the purpose of carrying out its activities, providing some components of its services and/or offering its services, etc. In such cases, the processors are not authorized to use the Personal Data obtained through the Contractor's Site other than for providing the services specified by the Contractor and only in compliance with the requirements of clause 6.2. of this Privacy Policy.

5.2. Disclosure of personal data without the User's consent or the consent of an authorized person is permitted in cases defined by law, and only in the interests of national security, economic well-being, and human rights, in particular, but not limited to, upon justified requests from state authorities that have the right to submit applications and receive such data.

SECURITY AND PROTECTION OF INFORMATION

6.1. Confidential information, personal data, and non-personalized information provided by the User and collected by the Contractor is protected by technical means and the SSL cryptographic protocol to prevent unauthorized access or use of data.

6.2. Processors of personal data undertake to use the information received from the Contractor in accordance with security requirements and this Privacy Policy.

6.3. The Contractor is not responsible for the User's disclosure of their Personal Data and their transfer to third parties to perform any actions on the Site on behalf of the User, nor for the functioning of servers and/or the work of third parties, through whose fault information leakage may be possible.

USER RIGHTS

7.1. The Site User has the right to:

• 7.1.1. know about the sources of collection, the location of their Personal Data, the purpose of their processing, the location of the owner or processor of Personal Data, or give an appropriate instruction to obtain this information to authorized persons, except in cases established by law;
• 7.1.2. receive information about the conditions for granting access to Personal Data, including information about third parties to whom their Personal Data is transferred;
• 7.1.3. submit a reasoned demand to the Contractor objecting to the processing of their Personal Data;
• 7.1.4. submit a reasoned demand for the change or destruction of their Personal Data by any owner and processor of Personal Data, if this data is inaccurate;

CHANGING OR DELETING INFORMATION

8.1. The User can at any time change/delete personal information or refuse any mailing conducted by the Contractor and/or its chosen processors of Personal Data. To do this, it is enough to send a corresponding letter with a request for the need to change/delete Personal Data to the email address journal@naukainfo.com. The provision of services to the User may be suspended from the moment the User's information is changed/deleted by the Contractor and other information processors.

AMENDMENTS TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

9.1. The Contractor may change the terms of the Privacy Policy by publishing a new version on the Site.

9.2. The new version of the Privacy Policy comes into force from the moment it is posted on the Site, unless otherwise provided by the new version of the Privacy Policy.

9.3. The Site User undertakes to periodically review the terms of the Privacy Policy to be informed about how the Contractor protects the User's information.

9.4. If the Contractor has made any changes to the Privacy Policy with which the User does not agree, the User must stop using the Site. The fact of continued use of the Site is confirmation of consent and acceptance by the User of the relevant version of the Privacy Policy.

9.5. The Contractor is not responsible for damage or losses suffered by the User or third parties as a result of erroneous understanding or misunderstanding of the terms of this Privacy Policy, instructions or guidance on the procedure for using the Site, and other technical issues.

OTHER TERMS

10.1. If any provision of this Privacy Policy, including any clause or part thereof, is found to be invalid or contrary to law, then the other provisions that do not contradict the law remain in force and are valid, and any invalid provision, or a provision that cannot be performed, is considered amended, corrected to the extent necessary to ensure its validity and feasibility.
